Today I came across a short documentary called Caine’s Arcade. It stars Caine Monroy, a nine-year-old who spent his summer vacation building a fancy cardboard arcade inside his dad’s used auto parts store.
Directed by Nirvan, Caine dreamed of having a lot of customers visit his arcade. But considering that his dad’s auto parts store gets hardly any foot traffic, finding people to engage in his creations were difficult.
Oddly enough, Nirvan walked into the auto shop and found the elaborate cardboard arcade. When asked by the young boy if he wanted to play, the film director became the cardboard arcade’s first customer.
Setting up a Facebook event to create a flashmob at Caine’s Arcade, the young boy’s DIY project has steadily grown.
Check it out! I definitely felt happy emotions while watching the film.
